The software license scheme relies on an enabled network
adapter to successfully activate. If the license was activated while the
wireless network adapter was enabled, the license could be linked to the
wireless adapter. Upon each launch, the application requires the adapter to
be enabled in order to validate the license. If the adapter is disabled at
the time of launch, the validation will fail and this error will occur,
preventing the application from launching.
To prevent this:
- When Activating your license, disable your Wireless Network Adapter
and leave your Local Area Connection enabled.
- If you do not have internet access via the Local Area Connection,
you can call Customer Support to obtain an Activation Code over the
phone.
- If this does not work, disable all of your Network Connections and
then Activate the license again, over the phone by calling Customer
Support.
- For PCs, changing the binding order of the NIC to the last in the
list may also resolve this issue.
- Open Start Menu
- Open Network Connections
- In the Network Connections window, select "Advanced Settings"
from the Advanced Menu.
- On the Adapters and Bindings Tab, Highlight the NIC used during
software registration (could be onboard or PCMCIA card) and move it
to the bottom of the list using the arrow buttons to the right of
the device list.
- Software should work now. If not, try re-registering with the
NIC at the bottom of the binding list.
